Mountain Nyala

The magnificent Mountain Nyala is native only to Ethiopia. It is a very shy and wary animal which makes the best use of the mountainous terrain, which it calls home. Hunt the low land foothills from 6,000-7,500 feet or the high mountains with elevations between 7500 and 11,000 feet.

A new permanent base camp helps lessen the rigors of the hunt in between forays to the far reaches of the area. Moveable fly camps are also utilized and horses are used to cover the long distances involved.

Mountain Nyala hunts are 15 days and you can also add Melelik’s bushbuck and in limited areas Klipspringer, Abyssinian, Bohor reedbuck, East African bush duiker, spotted hyena and giant forest hog.
