We offer the following Markhor hunts,
Astor Markhor – Pakistan – A large Markhor. They are massive and spectacular, though usually not as long as those of the Kashmir markhor. The male’s ruff is long and flowing.
Kashmir Markhor – Pir Panjal – A large markhor with massive horns that usually are the longest of the species. Typically, Kashmir markhor horns have slight to moderate flare with 2-3 spiral twists. A beautiful trophy!
Bukharn Markhor – Pakistan – Also called Tajik markhor, Russian markhor or Heptner markhor. The horns are relatively straight and in the form of a bold, tight corkscrew. The mountains in this region are very challenging. You must be in good shape.
Markhor permits in Pakistan are auctioned once a year. Flare-horned Markhor are importable into the U.S. from some communities. USF&W will evaluate each import application and then make a determination.
Please call for price. This is a hunt you won’t regret.
